Adam received his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Distribution and Master's of Physical Therapy from Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, NC. He enjoys all aspects of physical therapy including orthopaedic manual therapy, sports rehabilitation, and geriatric rehabilitation. In his spare time he enjoys weight lifting, mountain biking, hiking and water skiing. He is an active member of the Canton Lions Club. He grew up in Haywood County and is appreciative to have the opportunity to serve the community. Adam and his wife Paige reside in Canton.
Dr. Yarrington received his Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sport Sciences from the University of Florida and Master's of Physical Therapy from Nova Southeastern University. He earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2009 from Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Yarrington is a board certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists and the American Physical Therapy Association. One-on-one, personalized care is the cornerstone of effective treatment and Dr. Yarrington believes in forming a strong working partnership with patients to help them improve their quality of life. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his wife and four daughters. Eric is a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Waynesville Rotary Club. His family attends St. Margaret of Scotland Roman Catholic Church in Maggie Valley, NC. Eric is co-founder and president of the Waynesville Main Street Mile, a charitable running race that benefits Shriners Childrens Hospital of Greenville, SC. He and his wife Shannon also own and operate CrossFit 2311 in Waynesville.
Bonnie received her Bachelor of Science in Therapeutic Recreation from Western Carolina University and her Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Southwestern Community College. Bonnie and her husband Greg are very active in their church and have three children. Bonnie has a strong background in orthopaedic and geriatric rehabilitation.
Marta received her A.A.S. from Southwestern Community College in Sylva, NC. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and is committed to keeping herself current with the most up to date, evidence-based therapy techniques. While earning her degree in A.A.S in Haywood Community College in Clyde, she showed great interest in human anatomy, science and movement and this led her to pursue her Physical Therapist Assistant degree at SWCC. Marta is very interested in manual therapy, balance training, and sports rehabilitation. In her spare time, she enjoys yoga and outdoor activities like mountain biking, running, hiking, and snowboarding.
Carlos received his Masters in Physical Therapy from WCU in 2007 and has since focused his clinical practice on Orthopedic and Manual therapy. As an avid cyclist and lifelong athlete, he also has a strong interest and personal experience in Sports Rehabilitation. Carlos enjoys all aspects of geriatric Physical Therapy and his fluency in Spanish allows him to work well with Hispanic patients. He lives in Sylva with his wife, Nancy and 100 lb. yellow lab, Jack.
Danielle Smith has been with the Yarrington Physical Therapy practice for 6 years. She handles all billing, scheduling, managing and daily oversight of the practice and its work flow. Her positive attitude and spirit not only make our patients feel comfortable during their visits, but she ensures that their visits and necessary paperwork are seamlessly processed. When Danielle is not working, she loves spending time with her three wonderful children, Kielynn, Brayden and Jacob. She enjoys being outdoors with her children, hiking, and spending time at the lake. Her family attends Long’s Chapel United Methodist Church in Lake Junaluska, NC.
